What is 8mm Distress - what am I getting for $35?

8mm Distress Kit is a pack of 28 oringinal video clips, telecined from vintage 8mm film. The pack is a 300mb (approx) download, consisting of 2 Quicktime files called Strip1 & 2. There are 14 clips to each strip, ranging from 3 to 30 secs in length. The clips can be overlaid on video footage and transitions to give organic, analogue 8mm film effects.

What is the file format and aspect ratio?

The pack is available in NTSC (720x480/29.97fsp) and PAL (720x576/25fps) versions. The video codec is Photo JPEG. The aspect ratio is 16.9.

What's the quality like?

The files are telecined from the 8mm film and given that they are deliberately chosen to 'distress' they can be used within most small-screen settings
